The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
